More Goodfellows - Joan Jones' Photo's

Arthur Goodfellow Jones was the son of Clotilde Jessie Goodfellow and Arthur George Jones and the grandson of William Lamb Goodfellow and Clotilde Law Brown.  He married Joan Kathleen Village in 1941.  These are some of  Joan's photographs.

Arthur's Brother Fred (b1920).

He went into the Navy and was on aircraft carriers in convoys.

Arthur's brother George (b1911) with his wife Minnie (Wilkins).

George went into the Navy and was on minesweepers

Arthur (1913-1999), a skilled cabinet maker working for Moss Partners August 1947. Soon after this he joined the Post Office and was a postman and then a counter clerk  Joan's brother Harry, Arthur's Sister Kate (Clotilde Elizabeth 1908- 1993), Arthur & Joan, Joan's Mum and Dad (Mr and Mrs Village), Arthur's sister Edith (1924 - present).  Edith was a 'GI Bride' and married Porter Owen.  She still lives in Mississippi.

Arthur's Cousin Edna Smith's wedding to Horace Pearce. Edna was the daughter of Eugenie Agnes Smith nee Goodfellow. The little bridesmaid on the left is Eileen Goodfellow, cousin to Edna and Arthur. The man on the left is believed to be the bride's brother George. Edna and Horace were in the Auxiliary Fire Service. From Commonwealth War Graves records Horace Pearce, a Private with the Royal Army Service Corps, died in 1944 aged 24 and is buried in Cassino War Cemetery in Italy. Arthur's brother Frank (Francis Peter b1928), his Dad Arthur George Jones, Carol & Brenda (Arthur & Joan's Twins), Margaret Alice (Arthur's youngest sister 1930-1990), Kate (Clotilde Elizabeth 1908-1993) at 38 St Joseph's Rd, Lower Edmonton N9 c1960.
